A lot of girls are afraid of the weight room… they have never set foot in one before, they don’t know what they’re doing and they feel awkward/embarrassed.
I FELT THAT WAY MY FIRST TIME TOO!!! It’s honestly no reason to avoid the weight room though. After the initial shock of seeing a female walk into the weight room, trust me.. the guys will get over it and carry on about their business. Remind yourself why you’re there in the first place… you are there for YOU, to improve yourself… not to win the approval of a bunch of random dudes.
If you’re worried you don’t know what to do, a good idea might be to hire a personal trainer for at least one or two sessions so you can learn basic form for common exercises. You can also watch tutorials on bodybuilding.com if you don’t have the funds to hire one. Start simple! There’s no need to get wild your first few times there! And you might be surprised by just how helpful the guys can be.. especially when they see you there everyday, trying your best. They might provide you with some helpful tips, or even become your spotter!
Learn to love the weight room, I promise you won’t regret it! <3
